The grand entrance is the moment that the bride and groom are introduced officially for the second time in public. The first time occurs at the wedding ceremony. This is the time in the evening where guests are ready to mingle with the bride and groom, catch up with family and friends, and celebrate the beauty of marriage and show their support of the bride and groom and their future together.
Picking the right music is a personal decision for the bride and groom to make. There are a number of ways to introduce the bride and groom, bridal party and family members. Here are three ways to put together the grand entrance and the unique musical requirements and selections needed for each.
1. Everyone is Unique
In this entrance every couple introduced has their own personal song including the bride and groom. If you are planning on a completely unique way to introduce everyone (sports style entrance, acting out entrance, or having everyone pose when they come in) this can be an appropriate entrance. Pick a song for each couple that fits their style that can be funny, serious, or part of the overall entrance theme.
2. Focus on the Bride and Groom
The most traditional entrance a song is picked out for the parents, bridal party, and for the bride and groom. Another variation is for the parents and bridal party to come in on the same song while a seperate song is chose for the bride and groom. This keeps the focus and energy up for the bride and groom and sets the tone for the evening.
3. All Together One
This is a great way to have everyone come into the same song and show their support of the bride and groom. Great for couples who don't want to be hyped up and enjoy being in the company of friends and not necessarily the center of attention all the time. If you pick a good song this is a great way to enter, also good for more low key weddings.
